1. Where is the luggage storage place, The Cruise Stop, located?

The Cruise Stop is at 2002 Strand St Suite 101, Galveston Texas 77550.

2. Is it close to the cruise terminals? Can we walk from the terminal to the store?

The Cruise Stop is within walking distance (less than a mile) from all four Galveston cruise terminals. However, it is best to get a Uber/Lyft or Taxi from the cruise terminals especially with heavy luggage. It only takes about 2 to 5 minutes by car depending on which terminal you're coming from.

If the weather is nice and you have light bags and don't mind walking, see below. STAY SAFE and ALWAYS use the crosswalk and sidewalk.

3. How much does it cost?

Just $6 per bag (per piece, any size)

4. Do backpacks/tote bags/plastic bags/paper bags/car seats count?

Yes. Each bag or car seat will be counted as a separate piece and will cost $6 regardless of size or material. Any bag stacked on top of or attached in any way to another bag/luggage will be counted as a separate piece.

5. What are the storage hours? What time is the latest for pickup?

Storage hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

6. Do I need a reservation?

Yes. Space is limited so do make a reservation here. You will not be required to prepay and you can cancel anytime. Payment will be collected at the location on the day of service.

7. How do I cancel my reservation if plans change?

8. Where are the bags stored? Is it air-conditioned?

Your bags will be stored in the store's storage rooms which are air-conditioned. Only staff has access to the storage area.

9. Is the store close to downtown and tourist attractions?

The Cruise Stop is on the Strand in downtown Galvevston, just steps away from restaurants, shops, art galleries, and tourist attractions.

10. Can I store a bag for multiple days?

Maybe, if there's no weapon, illegal sh*t, anything fragile, perishable or stinky in your bag. Please call 409 497 2974 to ask.

11. Anything else I need to know?

There's NO RESTROOM in the store. Make sure you use the restroom where you're coming from before dropping off or picking up your bags.

How many cruise terminals does Galveston have?

Galveston has 4 cruise terminals
All cruise terminals are on Harborside Drive

Where’s my ship?

Unless there’s an unexpected outage or needed repair at a terminal, you will find your ship at:

Terminal 25 or 28 if you’re sailing with Carnival, Princess, and Disney. These lines use both. The terminals are next to each other, so you simply walk over to the right terminal if you get dropped off at the wrong one.
Terminal 10 if you are sailing with Royal Caribbean
Terminal 16 if you are sailing with MSC Cruises or Norwegian Cruise Line

If there are two ships from the same line, the bigger ship will be docked at each line’s main terminal listed above and the smaller ship will most likely be at Terminal 28. Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships (like the Allure, Harmony, Symphony) will be docked at Terminal 10 and Carnival Cruise Lines’ Excel Class ships like the Carnival Jubilee will be at Terminal 25.

What address should I use as destination for Google Maps or Uber/Lyft?

Used mostly by Carnival Corporation ships and closest to the shops and restaurants in downtown. It is home to Carnival Jubilee, the made-for-Texas Excel class-ship that can hold 6,600 passengers.

Cruise Terminal 28 (old name: Cruise Terminal 2)

Yes, it looks like that. I was in a moving car on the other side of the road when I took this photo, but there's really nothing more to Terminal 28. It's a box with x-ray machines inside. Nothing to write to your followers about.

Cruise Terminal 10 (aka Royal Caribbean Terminal)

Address: 1402 Harborside Drive, Galveston, TX 77550

The nicest Galveston terminal so far, but furthest from downtown. It has plenty of insta-worthy spots like the giant propellers hanging from the ceiling, the Galveston Beach Trio sculpture, a huge Royal Caribbean logo and 10 times nicer waiting area compared to the older terminals.

Good to know for some, useless info for others:

At the time of writing, this elevated pedestrian walkway to cross Harborside Drive to and from Terminal 25 is not in operation. It's a sign holder at best. It has been closed for decades. Use the crosswalk at street level.
